Members from New Bloomfield, Ickesburg and Newport fire companies got together for some joint training. The topics were mayday's and RIT.

Wes Smith from the 911 center went over the County's protocol on maydays before companies went out to an acquired house to do hands on practice. Crews went in and performed RIT duties as mayday's were called.

After being away for 11 years, past member Mike Barone was on duty as a paramedic with Lifeteam EMS, running calls out of Station 8 this weekend.

Mike was an active junior firefighter along with many other cadets from Carson Long Military Institute back in the day. When the siren would sound, you could watch the cadets run down from CLI racing to the old firehouse on High St.
