No Caption Station 8 Helps Out 50th Pennsylvania Pump Primers

July 11

Utility and Cooler 8 traveled to Harrisburg for the 50th annual Pump Primers Muster at Riverfront Park, assisting with keeping drinks and food cool for the event. Cooler 8 has provided support for many times over the years.

Several NBFD members attended the show. Gary Eby, a long-time member of Pump Primers, has worked the food tent for many years, missing only one show out of fifty.

Structure Burn Class

July 11

Members and equipment assembled at the recently acquired house from PPL on Roth Road, which has served as the training location for NBFD and firefighters participating in the structural burn class hosted by NBFD over several weeks.

Vehicle Accident / 29 W. High St, New Bloomfield Boro / Structural Burn Class

7-9-26 @ 12:31
Rescue 8 and EMS 109 were dispatched to a vehicle accident on West High Street, across from the former firehouse. Upon arrival, crews found the driver had already exited the vehicle.

EMS personnel evaluated the occupant, who declined further treatment. Rescue 8 checked the scene for additional hazards and inspected the damage to the garage.
Rescue 8 responded with a total of 11 personnel.

No Caption Group From Talmudic Penn Visits Station 8

July 08

Today, Station 8 welcomed a group from the Talmudic Penn campus for a tour of the fire station and museum. During their visit, guests also had the opportunity to take rides in the Tanker and Rescue. Everyone received a fire helmet and fire prevention materials to take home.

State Certified Structural Burn Class

July 08

Station 8 is hosting a structural burn class that includes members from Perry County fire companies 8, 2, 3, 4, 7, 9, 10, and JC 7. Training began this evening with a classroom session focused on several objectives as participants get ready for the upcoming burn day.

No Caption Sunday Finishing Tear Down / Fire Calls

Early Sunday morning, members departed the carnival grounds to return home and get some sleep before coming back at 8:00 am to complete the tear down. Some members were asleep and others had not yet slept when the fire pagers sounded.

Fireworks End The 2026 Carnival

We extend our appreciation to everyone who attended and supported our firemen’s carnival, including all those who worked to make the carnival possible. This year’s carnival was memorable, featuring five days of record-high temperatures. On July 4th, after the rain cleared around 9:45 p.m., the night concluded with a great fireworks display.
