New Bloomfield Volunteer Fire Company Station 8, June 23
!! One week until opening night of the New Bloomfield Carnival!!! You may have a different meal each night of the week and support the New Bloomfield Volunteer Fire Company. The carnival is June 30- July 4, 2026. Fireworks will be July 4, at 10:30. Food and games will be open when our volunteers get home from work. Rides open at 6 each night. Entertainment 7-10 nightly. It's That Time: 1st Night Of Carnival Set Up
June 22
New Bloomfield Fire Company extends its appreciation to all members, friends of the fire company, Kirby Kitner for transporting the carnival trailer, WP Wrestling, the crew from ROC Cottage at LYDC, and the crew from PCP for their assistance during the first night of carnival setup. The rain moved out allowing for a great turnout, making the setup easy with many helping hands.

Fuel Spill / Training / Brush 8 Gets New Fire Pump
June 17
6-17-26 @ 10:26 Company 8 was dispatched to 550 Sherman's Valley Road in Centre Township for a reported fuel spill. As Engine 8 responded, county dispatch advised that a fuel can had been overturned. Upon arrival, crews found a leaking 4 gallon fuel can, likely fallen from a vehicle. Pit Stop At Station 8 For AACA Car Club
June 15
Don Barlup of New Bloomfield and a member of the AACA organized a self-guided tour of the Perry County covered bridges for members of the Antique Automobile Club of America, Hershey Region. Station 8 assisted Don by providing a pit stop in the morning for all participants. Club members toured the Roland E. Dunkelberger museum located in the firehouse and also visited Don's nice garage across the street.
