As some members were attending the funeral service for Life member Ed Albright, the daytime rescue box was dispatched for an accident with entrapment. Rescue 8 and Engine 10, along with EMS 89-2, Medic 1 and QRS 109, arrived to find a car into the guard rail with no entrapment. Chief 8 placed Engine 10 in service.
NBFD members checked for hazards, while EMS checked out occupant, and transported one to a local hospital. NBFD Fire Police controlled traffic.
