Company 8 was dispatched for a reported woods fire in the area of Sandy Hollow and Spring Rd. Units arrived to find a large area burning. Brush 8 and members went off road to reach and start extinguishing this fire, as Chief 8 added Brush 12 and UTV 2.
As the wind continued to fan this fire, more manpower, brush and tanker units were called in.

Crews cut in fire lines and ran multiple hose line to get a hold of this fire.

Units assisting on scene: Brush 2, 4, 7, 9, 10, 12 -- UTV 2 -- Tanker 2, 12 -- DCNR from Blain --- Tuscarora wildland crew Co.13 were called in to watch for any hot spots into the evening.

NBFD thanks all companies for assisting and working together as a total of 7 acres were burnt.

Engine, Tanker, Brush and Utility 8 out with 24 members.
