Members were just getting back to Station 8 from Ickesburg when the tones dropped for a reported house fire in our 1st due area. Units from Co 12 were also dispatched on this 1st alarm.

Before units responded, County upgraded the box with a reported person trapped, adding units from Newport and Duncannon. Chief 8-3 arrived on scene with the fire already out. This turned out to be a grease fire on the stove, and the home owner discharged a 20 lb dry chem extinguisher. Personnel checked for any extension and used PPV to remove smoke from the home. All mutual aid units were placed in service, as Chief 8-3 held this to just NBFD units.
