It is with heavy hearts that we report the passing of our brother firefighter, Rick Wertz, on 9-10-23. Rick was an active member with New Bloomfield Fire Company and will be greatly missed.

Rick was a former Fire Chief in Hampden Township Fire Company, part of the Cumberland County Crisis Intervention Team, a State Wild Fire Warden since 1988, the Perry County Firemen's Association Assistant Chaplin for many years, and a volunteer at the Pa. National Fire Museum in Harrisburg.
